Change for Change's Sake

Good afternoon, everyone. Everyone being most likely just me at this point. Anyway, hi. I'm Joey, and what I'm about to do here is introduce what amounts to my third...ugh, I hate this word...blog. Online journal, if you prefer. I know I do.
Anyway, as of today I have registered my own name as a domain name, so the dreams of literally dozens, possibly less, have reached their long delayed fulfillment as joeymarsilio.com has officially gone live. And yes, it is every bit as shitty as you might expect. My only web design experience was as a part of a class at UC Santa Cruz taught by a man named Guy Cox (I'm not joking). The website does not exist anymore, unfortunately...if it did, I would have shared it with you in all its hot pink glory. The bottom line is, I don't know HTML from KKK (probably not the best example of an acronym), so whatever I churn out will likely have the visual appeal of a decaying fox corpse. Please bear with me as I figuratively attempt to tell my ass from my elbow.
This...journal will be an integral part of my new online presence. In it I will detail my numerous complaints with society, as well as share with you my own journey from the hellish poverty I currently live in to the hopeful BIG PAYOFF of fortune, and maybe fame if I have the time. This will essentially be the thematic continuation of the project I began years ago on AOL journals, and have continued through MySpace blogs. This just feels like a better format for what I'm trying to do, so I'm trying it on for size. Any comments or suggestions you have for me would be awesome, including hate mail, which incidentally normally makes up the bulk of my correspondence.
That's enough setup, I suppose. So here we go. Oh, and if you happen to live in the greater Los Angeles area and want to hire me for something, by all means let me know.

Why can't the MySpace blog format look at aesthetically pleasing as this does? If you could add anything, might I suggest the picture slide show that AOL Journals allowed us to put up? That would be sweet like Guy Cox.
